The Trolley Revolution hits the headlines (and the screens)

21 03 2008

When we said they were the trolleys taking the UK by storm, we most certainly weren’t exaggerating. The range has been gaining increasing amounts of coverage over the last few years, but boy, has it been one hell of a week here at Rolser towers.

First, a feature in the Mail on Sunday’s You Magazine: A funky Plegamatic Mono getting style guru Bettina Vetter’s stamp of approval. But there was more – the revelation that movie icon Julie Christie uses a Rolser Mountain – and there was photographic evidence to boot.
Monday – a call from GMTV, they want Rolser! Trolleys (and our Micro bags) quickly despatched at London Television Centre and the orders come streaming in after Lorraine Kelly and green queen Lucy Siegle coo at the wonders of Rolser’s psycahdelic folding trolley and our fab folding bags.
We prepare to settle down and deal with the influx of orders on Thursday, before seeing that our feature in the Daily Mail is out today. But that wasn’t enough. The BBC, keen not to be left out, gave us a phone call requesting an urgent supply of Rolsers at BBC Television Centre, ready to be featured on BBC Breakfast on Friday morning. Susannah Reid teased viewers with a sneaky peek at a green spiral plegamatic before celebrity stylist Hannah Sandling played with a delectable pink Mountain ‘R’ trolley, Mountain Flora and funky cow-print.
The end of a busy week. Just the beginning of the trolley revolution, we’re sure. Watch this space …
